It will work from a USB stick and should do all you want as the drivers are built in. If you want to go on pursuing the cause of the problem then you could try any of the Linux Distros and Ubuntu or Mint are good. If the laptops are still under warranty then you could refit the original WiFi cards and ask the supplier to sort it out as they might have seen the Teams and Zoom issues before. Looking at past post on Spiceworks, I came across this which has similarities with 6 pages of suggestions and a solution to use an USB wireless device. That is weird and seems to be an incompatibility between laptop hardware, Windows, card drivers and the AP.
This card is supposed to work OK in the laptop and there's nothing to suggest that they shouldn't work along side the AMD chipset, can anyone offer any guidance on what I could be missing? I have recently had an install of Ryzen 5 HP G255's with Realtek WLAN cards which were not behaving with Teams or Zoom, They have been replaced with Intel 3615 Dual Band cards (as there were not BIOS locked) which fixed all the issues we had with with Teams and Zoom, they worked well for almost a day but as soon as they were taken off site the Intel Cards stared playing up massively, Event Viewer showed the following:
